Charlie Curnow grew up in Bellbrae, Victoria, on a hobby farm near Geelong. He is one of five children born to Dave and Cassie Curnow. Curnow attended Geelong College and played state-level under-18 football for the Geelong Falcons in the TAC Cup, showcasing his talent early despite a challenging draft year due to injury.
