Does Sean O'Malley want a Petr Yan rematch after UFC 333?

Sean O'Malley believes Petr Yan has a skill for skill advantage over Merab Dvalishvili in their UFC 333 co-main event. He said a Yan win would set up the most logical fight for him, a rematch for the bantamweight title. O'Malley defeated Yan via split decision at UFC 280 in October 2022 to win the title before losing it to Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 306. He told UFC on Paramount+ that beating Yan again would give him two wins over two of the three fighters he considers in the GOAT conversation alongside Aljamain Sterling and Merab Dvalishvili.

Sean O'Malley is not counting out Song Yadong ahead of his UFC Fight Night 286 main event against Umar Nurmagomedov in Shanghai on Aug 27. He told UFC on Paramount+ that Song is a very dangerous opponent and that either man winning would make the bantamweight division more interesting.
