Ravindra Jadeja bowled to veteran BJP MP Shivraj Singh Chouhan in an invitational match after the IND vs NZ 2026 series. The star India all-rounder featured in the recently concluded ODI series against New Zealand.

What happened?

Ravindra Jadeja was invited to the closing ceremony of the MP Sports Festival at the ground of Raisen in Madhya Pradesh. He bowled to Chouhan with a cricket tennis ball, as Chouhan pulled Jadeja for a big shot. Everyone present, including Jadeja, were seen cheering and clapping for Chouhan.

Ravindra Jadeja had a poor New Zealand series, going wicketless with the ball, finishing with combined figures of 0/141 from 23 overs. He made just 43 runs from three innings at an average of 14.33.

Ravindra Jadeja will next be seen in action for the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2026 season. He scored just seven runs with the bat in the first innings, but made an impressive 46 in the second for Saurashtra in their Ranji Trophy 2025-26 clash against Punjab. With the ball, he picked up just two wickets, returning figures of 2/48 in the first innings and 0/41 in the second. The all-rounder sported a casual look, wearing a brown full-sleeve t-shirt with black pants and white shoes. Earlier, Chouhan personally welcomed and escorted Jadeja as the star cricketer arrived at the venue. As he got out of the car, Jadeja was presented with a bouquet and a shawl. Jadeja also greeted all the players and participated in the road rally with Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Saurashtra won the game but could not qualify for the quarter-finals.
