What Cody Rhodes Said About Randy Orton's Motivation

Cody Rhodes stated that the 'addiction and sickness' to win the WWE Championship again lies more with Randy Orton than with himself. Rhodes made these remarks during a recent media appearance, framing Orton's pursuit of a record-breaking title reign as rooted in internal compulsions rather than external ambition. The comments came amid ongoing speculation about Orton's future in WWE and his potential to challenge for the championship despite his veteran status.

Randy Orton's Current Status in WWE

As of September 2026, Randy Orton continues to perform on WWE programming, though he has not held the WWE Championship since his last reign in 2022. His recent activity includes tag team competitions and occasional singles bouts, maintaining his status as one of the company's most recognizable figures.
