Eberechi Eze set for Arsenal cameo as Arteta rotates

Eberechi Eze is poised to make an appearance for Arsenal in their upcoming fixture against Ipswich Town as manager Mikel Arteta prepares to ring the changes.

The predicted XI released ahead of the Carabao Cup tie shows Arteta making 10 alterations to the side that faced Brighton, with Eze slotted into an advanced midfield role.

This selection suggests the England international is being given an opportunity to stake a claim for more regular involvement despite limited minutes so far this season.

Arteta’s decision to rotate heavily reflects the congested schedule and his desire to keep the squad fresh ahead of a demanding period.

Eze, who joined Arsenal from Crystal Palace in the summer, has yet to establish himself as a first-choice option but has impressed in training.

His inclusion indicates the coaching staff sees value in his technical ability and creativity, particularly in breaking down compact defences.

Ipswich, newly promoted to the Championship, will pose a different challenge compared to Premier League opposition, potentially offering Eze space to operate.

The match represents a chance for the 26-year-old to demonstrate his worth and push for greater involvement in Arteta’s plans.

Arsenal fans will be watching closely to see if Eze can seize the moment and deliver a performance that earns him more trust moving forward.
