Alejandro Garnacho aims to win Aston Villa fans
Alejandro Garnacho will be playing for his future after the next stage of his career took him on loan to Aston Villa. The 22-year-old spent the 2025-26 campaign on loan at Chelsea, where he notched eight goals and four assists in 43 games, and somewhat impressed.
How Garnacho plans to win over Villa Park
Unai Emery is being tipped to get the very best out of the player, who appears to have suffered from a poor mindset, leading to clashes with managers. Those at Villa Park are yet to be convinced, though, and he'll be desperate for a performance to spark calls for a permanent contract with the Villans. While his loan deal includes a conditional obligation to buy, we've seen from the treatment of Harvey Elliott last season that means very little.
Can Garnacho embarrass Ezri Konsa's Arsenal debut
Ezri Konsa could make his Arsenal debut at Villa Park. Football Insider revealed earlier this month that Konsa's move to North London was 99 per cent done, and that has now come to fruition. All that is left is for the deal to be announced officially, with talk now turning to when the defender could make his debut for the Gunners. With Arsenal facing Coventry City on Friday, 21 August, that could come far too early for the England international, given that the move isn't official yet. Instead, he could make his debut against Emery's team at Villa Park on Monday, 31 August, and that could see him play out of position at right-back. With fans already turning on the 28-year-old, Garnacho will have the support of Villa Park to make a fool out of Arsenal.
