Stephen Curry Returns to Warriors After Injury

Stephen Curry is set to return to the Warriors on Sunday after being cleared to play following a lengthy absence due to a knee injury.

What happened to Stephen Curry?

He went through a full scrimmage with the Warriors on Thursday and coach Steve Kerr said he looked like his old self. The Warriors have missed Curry, going 9-18 without him and falling to 10th in the West.

Why does Stephen Curry's return matter?

Curry's return gives the Warriors a boost as they try to make a late push for the playoffs. He has been out since January 30 with a knee injury and has missed 27 games.

What can we expect from Stephen Curry's return?

Curry will have up to 5 games to get his legs under him and rekindle chemistry with his teammates before the end of the season. He is averaging 27.2 points and 4.8 assists per game when healthy this season, shooting 39.1% from 3-point range. The Warriors will need to win two games on the road to get out of the play-in and into the No. 8 seed. Curry's gravity on offense opens up everything for his teammates, particularly with Jimmy Butler out for the season.
