BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia has confirmed that Rohit Sharma's recent ODI at Lord's will not mark the end of his international career. The 37-year-old opener's future had been a topic of speculation after India's early exit from the 2026 World Cup.

Saikia addressed the retirement rumors directly, stating that Rohit remains a vital part of India's white-ball plans. 'Rohit Sharma is still very much in our schemes of things,' Saikia told reporters. 'His experience and leadership are invaluable for the team.'
