Roger Federer's Twin Daughters Support Cruz Hewitt at Wimbledon

Roger Federer's twin daughters, Myla Rose and Charlene, have been cheering on Cruz Hewitt at Wimbledon. The 17-year-old son of Lleyton Hewitt reached the boys' singles final on 12 July 2026. He thanked the Federer family for their support after his semifinal win.

What happened between Cruz Hewitt and Roger Federer's daughters?

Cruz Hewitt beat Thijs Boogaard 6-4, 6-4 in the semifinals. After the match, he exchanged warm hugs with Myla Rose and Charlene Federer. The Federer family has been watching from the Royal Box at SW19.

Speaking to the media, Cruz said: "They've been supporting me. The whole family, they've been really good so I'm really grateful for them to be out at the matches and coming to support."

He added: "I've obviously known them since our dads played. I know them pretty well, but I appreciate them coming."

Why it matters for Roger Federer

Roger Federer and Lleyton Hewitt last faced each other at Wimbledon 18 years ago. Federer won all three of their Wimbledon meetings. He holds an 18-9 lead in their head-to-head record.

Now their children are creating their own Wimbledon story. Federer's daughters are supporting Hewitt's son. It's a full-circle moment for the two tennis families.

Cruz is coached by Wayne Arthurs but still gets advice from his father. "My dad does help me a lot. He's in my corner," Cruz said. "He's coaching a little bit, but he's also just there for support."

What comes next for Cruz Hewitt?

Cruz Hewitt will face American Jordan Lee in the boys' singles final on Sunday, 12 July 2026. He'll likely have the Federer twins cheering him on again.

Cruz said his father is proud of his run. "I think he's pretty happy with how far I've come with my mentality, my game style," he said.

The 17-year-old Australian has won all his matches in straight sets. Now he's one win away from a Wimbledon junior title.
