Acting SmackDown General Manager Adam Pearce confirmed the news in a video released before the July 17 episode of SmackDown. Ripley tore her right meniscus on May 31, 2026, during her title match against Jade Cargill at Clash in Italy. She described the injury as awkward and recovery more difficult than expected.
