Paul Scholes Slams Manchester United's £10m Documentary Deal

Paul Scholes has slammed Manchester United's £10m announcement to partner with Prime Video for a documentary series.

The documentary series, 'All or Nothing', will follow Manchester United during the 2026/27 season.

Scholes believes this will put extra pressure on Michael Carrick.

Scholes thinks that while fans will enjoy the documentary, the coaches and players probably will not.

He spoke about this on the latest episode of The Good, The Bad and The Football.

The former United midfielder said that for a fan, these documentaries are brilliant to watch.

Scholes also explained his experience with behind-the-scenes content from Salford City.

He said they have a YouTube channel that interviews players and managers, and they are often in the dressing room.

Nicky Butt added that it is what the fans want nowadays, whether the manager or players like it or not.

Scholes agreed, saying that as a player, he couldn't think of anything worse.

However, he also believes that it will not be too dissimilar to what is already happening at clubs.

Scholes confirmed that coaches do have some say on what is included in the documentary.

He said that the manager has to clear it because there's stuff at half time that they don't want to be shown.

The documentary series is expected to earn Manchester United over £10 million.

This is a record-breaking deal that exceeds what Arsenal, Manchester City, and Tottenham Hotspur received for their series.

Sources at Old Trafford believe it is the highest fee ever paid for a documentary covering a single professional football club.

Manchester United previously received a sizeable proposal in 2023 during their United States pre-season tour.

Scholes thinks that some of the stuff that Mikel Arteta did in the Arsenal documentary was brilliant.

He also said that everyone films everything anyway, even when you see team talks, people are filming them with their phones.
