Paul Scholes Flags Concern Over Manchester United Documentary

Paul Scholes has flagged a key concern after Manchester United announced their All or Nothing documentary.

What is the documentary about?

The documentary will follow Michael Carrick and his players from preseason through the entirety of the 2026/27 campaign. Amazon Prime's cameras and filming crew will capture every moment, set to debut in the summer of 2027 across more than 240 countries.

Why is Paul Scholes concerned?

Scholes observed that while the series would delight supporters, the manager and his squad might find it more of a burden. He stated, "Yeah probably" when asked if the film would pile more pressure on Carrick.

What does the documentary mean for Manchester United?

United will become the fourth Premier League team to sanction such a move after Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester City. The club negotiated a record fee for the documentary, surpassing what Amazon has previously paid. As of the 2026/27 season, Manchester United will have a long-awaited return to the Champions League to look forward to. Scholes added that he watched the Arsenal documentary and found it brilliant to watch, but as a player, he couldn't think of anything worse. The documentary was proposed during Ruben Amorim's tenure, but he was firmly against the idea, believing it would prove more disruptive than beneficial. Amazon offered in excess of £10m for the access at the time. Now, under Carrick, United are heading in the right direction, making it a more suitable time to green-light the documentary. Scholes mentioned that he learned a lot from watching the documentary, especially about managers like Mikel Arteta.
