Gunther is Gable’s wrestling soulmate. That’s what Chad Gable said on KFAN this week, recalling the chemistry he and Gunther shared during their 2023 WWE Intercontinental Championship trilogy.

What happened?

Gable and Gunther locked horns three times in 2023 over the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Their matches drew praise for technical mastery and near-silent crowd heat. On KFAN with Maxx Fuller, Gable was asked to name his wrestling soulmate. He picked Gunther without hesitation.

“GUNTHER, so far. From the first match, we could have never talked about anything and we just: we were meant for each other, I think.”

Why it matters for Gunther
