Fernando Alonso buys Bugatti EB110 GT supercar after Aston Martin exit

Fernando Alonso just bought a Bugatti EB110 GT: a supercar he wouldn’t normally be seen driving. The two-time Formula 1 champion took delivery of the EB110 GT in Monaco earlier this month, marking another headline-grabbing addition to his garage.

What happened?

Alonso’s new Bugatti EB110 GT is one of only 139 built before Bugatti folded in 1995. The car was originally priced at $350,000 around 35 years ago. It now trades on the used market between $3.3m and $5.5m. Alonso’s team confirmed the delivery date as early July 2026, just two months after his Pagani Zonda Verde Diamante arrived in May.

Why it matters for Fernando Alonso

The EB110 GT accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds and tops out at 212 mph. Its carbon-fiber monocoque chassis and Gandini-designed silhouette give it a striking look. The car’s scissor doors and pop-up headlights turn heads wherever Alonso drives it. The purchase fits a pattern: Alonso uses rare hypercars to fill the gap left by his Aston Martin exit in Formula 1.

What’s in Alonso’s $32m garage?

Alonso’s collection already includes the Aston Martin Valkyrie, the Aston Martin Valiant, and the Ferrari 599 GTB Fernando Alonso Edition. He once owned the first 2011 Ferrari Enzo chassis, auctioned in 2023 for $5.86m. The Ferrari LaFerrari, McLaren P1, and Porsche 918 Spyder form his “Holy Trinity.” Only a handful of people own all three.

What comes next?

Alonso’s garage keeps growing, but the EB110 GT stands out for its rarity and history. The car’s lineage traces back to the early 1990s, when Bugatti tried to revive the brand before liquidation. Alonso’s latest buy shows he’s not slowing down, even after a tough F1 season with Aston Martin.
