Dwyane Wade, the Miami Heat legend, praised LeBron James' remarkable longevity as the NBA awaits the 41-year-old superstar's free agency decision. Wade, who retired in 2019 at age 37, emphasized the rarity of James' sustained excellence at his age.

Why Wade Admires LeBron's Career

Wade, speaking on his podcast, highlighted the difficulty of walking away when still performing at an elite level. He recalled his own retirement, noting he stepped away when he felt his skills had declined. James, however, remains an All-Star, making his decision more complex.

'It has to suck a little bit to get to this point in your career and still be really good,' Wade said. He compared James to Barry Sanders, who retired at his peak, but noted such cases are rare.
