Chase Briscoe Targets NASCAR Postseason in 2026

Chase Briscoe is working to turn his season around after a slow start, with the goal of reaching the NASCAR postseason in 2026.

What happened?

He opened the year with a 36th-place finish at the Daytona 500, leaving him 37th in the standings. The driver then had a runner-up result at Atlanta Motor Speedway, which helped him climb to 16th. But finishes of 37th at Circuit of the Americas and 37th at Phoenix Raceway sent him sliding down to 33rd.

Why it matters for Chase Briscoe

Briscoe admitted the stretch has tested his patience, but he remains optimistic due to the speed in the No. 19 camp. He noted that the current format has altered the team's approach from week to week, with points becoming a premium.

What comes next?

The driver faces a challenging track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where he has often struggled to bring home results. In 10 starts there, he has posted two finishes inside the top 10, with an average finish of 20.3. Briscoe hopes to spark a better start to the year, building on his fourth-place finish at the track in last year's fall race. He will need to average around 38 or 39 points per race to have a chance at a top-three finish in the regular season. The No. 19 team has shown the pace to fight for wins, yet factors beyond their control have left them empty-handed. Briscoe's path forward comes down to consistently performing and staying out of trouble. As the series heads to Nevada, Briscoe is looking to turn his season around and make a push for the postseason. The driver has scored 47 points on the year, with 44 of those coming from his runner-up result at Atlanta. He has been fast, but needs to put some of his recent struggles behind him and get a little bit of luck on his side.
