Blake Griffin is stepping into a new arena as a television host. The former NBA All Star is set to front his own late night talk show, a major move in his post basketball career. This development comes alongside his digital revival as a featured player in the new NBA 2K27 MyTEAM Dunktober event, keeping his high flying legacy alive for a new generation of fans.

From NBA Dunk Champion to Late Night Host

Griffin's pivot to television is a significant career shift. While specific details on the show's format, network, and premiere date are still under wraps, the announcement confirms his intent to remain in the public eye through entertainment. Known for his comedic timing and personality during his playing days, including memorable appearances on shows like Saturday Night Live, this venture leverages skills he showed off the court. It represents a natural progression for an athlete who has consistently explored creative avenues beyond basketball.

A Digital Legacy in NBA 2K27

Simultaneously, Griffin's on court exploits are being celebrated virtually. He is a headline inclusion in the NBA 2K27 MyTEAM Dunktober promotion, sharing the spotlight with legends like LeBron James and Lisa Leslie. The event, which launched in October 2026, focuses on the game's most iconic dunkers. Griffin's virtual card will undoubtedly feature some of the most powerful and highlight reel dunks from his prime, reminding players of the athleticism that made him a six time NBA All Star. This inclusion ensures his playing style remains part of the contemporary basketball conversation.

Life After the Final Buzzer

These two announcements paint a clear picture of Griffin's current chapter. The late night show is a bold entrepreneurial step, while the 2K feature serves as a digital monument to his career. He is effectively building a brand that exists at the intersection of sports, comedy, and media, a path several modern athletes have successfully handled.
